During the working week, Stuart is responsible for leading the talented winemaking team at Stella Bella and stylistically steering the wines. On the weekends though, he can be found out in the Vineyard getting dirt under his fingernails or at home benchmarking his wines against other Australian and international greats ... OK, maybe just enjoying a good glass of wine!

1983 marked the start of Stuart’s impressive winemaking career in Margaret River, first at his family winery, then later at Vasse Felix, Voyager Estate and Devil’s Lair. In 2000 Stuart and his winemaking partner Janice McDonald started Stella Bella, with the vision of creating wines that were truly unique, reflective of their creativity and vast global experiences.

Today Stuart is responsible for all wines under the company’s Stella Bella, Suckfizzle and Skuttlebutt labels, sourced from some of the finest vineyards in Margaret River's pristine southern reaches.
